The Healing Art of Acupuncture: Gentle Support for Aging Well

  • Q4 Active 6200 Variel Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 91367 United States (map)

Join Deborah Snyder Warshauer, co-owner of Woodland Hills Acupuncture & Wellness, for a welcoming and informative workshop designed especially for older adults. Discover what acupuncture truly is, how it works, and how it may support your health and well‑being. This session will cover:

  • What is acupuncture? A clear overview of the practice and its roots in traditional Chinese medicine.

  • How does it work? Learn about the theories behind energy pathways (Qi), meridians, and the body’s natural healing responses.

  • Potential benefits for older adults: Pain relief, improved sleep, reduced stress, enhanced circulation and mobility, support for digestive health, and more.

  • What to expect during a session: Safety, comfort, what happens before, during, and after.

As a special bonus, every attendee will receive their very own ear seed—a small, non‑invasive adhesive pellet applied to a point on the ear—to try at home and experience firsthand. Deborah’s warm, approachable style will make this a comfortable, engaging experience—even if you've never had acupuncture before.

Bring your curiosity and leave with a simple tool for self-care and a deeper understanding of how acupuncture could support your wellness journey.

Presenter: With over 30 years of experience, Deborah Snyder Warshauer brings both wisdom and warmth to her work as an acupuncturist. Her approach is intuitive, collaborative, and always rooted in compassion. Patients know her not just for her clinical expertise in fertility, pregnancy, hormone balance, sleep, and pain—but for the sense of trust and partnership she builds with each person she sees. Deborah holds a prestigious Fellowship with the Acupuncture Board of Reproductive Medicine and has trained as a birth doula through DONA. She’s also a former faculty member at Yo San University’s doctoral fertility program and is certified in the NADA protocol for addiction support. In her treatments, Deborah weaves together acupuncture, herbal medicine, supplements, cupping, gua sha, and patient education. But more than anything, she’s passionate about helping people feel empowered, informed, and more connected to their health. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find Deborah practicing yoga, walking on the beach, cooking something nourishing, or hiking local trails. She lives between Calabasas and Ventura with her husband and is the proud mom of three grown sons.
