ROLL WITH IT! Foam Rolling for Mobility and Flexibility

Join us for a fun and feel-good workshop where we’ll teach you how to foam roll away stiffness and unlock your body’s full range of motion! In this hands-on session, you’ll learn simple techniques using the foam roller to ease tight muscles, improve circulation, and boost your flexibility and mobility. Whether you’re brand new to foam rolling or already have one gathering dust at home, we’ll guide you step-by-step through gentle, age-appropriate moves that will leave you feeling looser, lighter, and more limber. Plus, we’ll throw in tips on when and how to use these tools at home to keep your body moving well between circuit classes. Expect laughs, and lots of "oohs" and "aahs." Let’s roll . . . into better movement—together!

What To Bring: Bring comfortable clothes you can move in. We’ll provide the foam rollers—or you may bring your own if you wish!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Kym Allen (MS Exercise Physiology, CPT, IFS, MAT) began her role as a Personal Trainer in 1996 while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at Northern Illinois University. When she began working as a Personal Trainer, her focus extended beyond basic strength training to include Postural, Pre/Post-Natal, and Mobility Training by integrating various modalities into her practice, such as yoga, self-myofascial release, flexibility training, corrective exercise, functional movement, and stability/balance training. From 1999 to 2007, Kym worked as an Advantage/Master Trainer at The Sports Club/LA. After eight years, she left to establish her own practice, Kym’s Functional Fitness. Kym currently works with clients ranging in age from eight to ninety-one years old, each with diverse abilities, health and fitness levels.

REGISTRATION: A small fee of $20 per person ($15 for Q4 Active Members) is required.
